Recommended Actions
Know where to focus your software development resources and effort by understanding how pull requests and issues are progressing across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with the recommended action metric template.

Understand the Recommended Action Field
Keypup calculates the recommended action field using contextual factors and industry best practices. Using this template, users can explore issues and pull requests (PRs) based on the next expected step in the SDLC. This field can have the following values:
- ASSIGN_REVIEWER: No reviewers have been assigned to the PR in 3 days.
- ASSIGN_MISSING_REVIEWERS: There are less reviewers assigned than needed to approve this PR.
- CLOSE: This issue should be closed since all resolving PRs have been merged or closed.
- FIX_BUILD: The PR's build failed.
- FIX_CODE: One reviewer requested changes to the code in the PR.
- IMPLEMENT: There are no resolving PRs for this issue.
- MERGE: The PR is approved and has a green build.
- NONE: The issue or PR has been merged or closed.
- REBASE: The PR conflicts with the base branch and needs to be updated (rebased).
- REVIEW: Reviews are currently pending for the PR.
- WAIT_FOR_IMPLEMENTATION: The issue has been resolved by one or several open PRs but is not merged or closed.
Accelerate SDLC Using Recommended Action Template
As action fields are recommended based on contextual information, this insight can be used to analyze and sanitize the backlog or to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently. For instance, a growing number of items in "REVIEW" may indicate that senior developers are sparse or overburdened. This insight can be filtered by project, status, or type to help prioritize tasks efficiently.
