Bitbucket Data Center is now available on Keypup

We're excited to announce the availability of our Bitbucket Data Center integration and a significant performance boost for Activity Event, Commits & Comment datasets. Read on for all the details! 🤓

Bitbucket Data Center Integration

You asked, we delivered! Bitbucket Data Center (DC) is now available as a fully supported application within Keypup.

This means you can now seamlessly track your Bitbucket DC repositories directly within Keypup, gaining the same valuable insights and metrics as you do with our existing Bitbucket Cloud integration. This allows teams using on-premise Bitbucket instances to leverage Keypup's powerful reporting capabilities and track their engineering performance.

The Bitbucket DC integration plays nicely with our Jira DC/Cloud integrations, automatically detecting relationships between Bitbucket Pull Requests and Jira Issues, allowing Tech Leaders to create combined reports!

Details on the Bitbucket DC integration and which data we fetch can be found in our dedicated help center article.

Activity Event, Commits & Comment Datasets: Performance Boost

We've been hard at work optimizing our data processing engine, and we're thrilled to announce a massive performance improvement for our Activity Event, Commits, and Comment datasets.

You can now expect reporting speeds to increase by x10 to x100, depending on the complexity of your query! This speed boost is a result of implementing more efficient querying strategies, allowing you to generate reports and gain insights faster than ever before 🚀

We're not stopping there! We will deploy this performance optimization to the Issues & Pull Requests and Pull Request Reviews datasets over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for even faster reporting across the board.

Other improvements and bug fixes

  • Improvement: Configured Bitbucket Cloud to use static IPs, mirroring Jira, GitLab, and GitHub. This enables users to leverage IP whitelists on Bitbucket Cloud and use Keypup securely.
  • Improvement: Integrated GitHub issue types from their public preview API, providing early access to this new feature and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Improvement: Jira custom fields can now be directly selected from the "dimension" dropdown, eliminating the need to switch to a custom formula.
  • Improvement: Visually upgraded the team invite flow to align with the regular onboarding flow, providing a consistent and modern user experience.
  • Improvement: Added an option to display the value of each slice on pie charts. This option can be toggled alongside the "show percentage" option to display both values simultaneously.
  • Improvement: The table in the Report widget now expands to occupy the full available width, automatically expanding the last column if there's space.
  • Bugfix: Added logic to filter out system-generated usernames (e.g., User e3r4w2) returned by Bitbucket's API under pressure, preventing incorrect username updates and reporting errors.
  • Bugfix: Improved the stability of custom formulas, especially when switching between the "formula modal" and "inline formula" editors.
  • Bugfix: Fixed an issue with presets in dashboard-wide filters where a field (mapping) would be automatically reselected on modal open, even if it had been previously cleared.
  • Bugfix: Fixed an issue in the insight filter modal where the cursor would constantly be pushed to the end of input fields, improving the editing experience.
  • Bugfix: Added a loading indicator to the "Remove User" action in team management to improve feedback and prevent the impression of unresponsiveness.
