We're excited to roll out a set of powerful new formula operators that unlock more sophisticated data analysis, alongside significant enhancements to your AI Assistant! Get ready for more precise metrics and a smarter conversational experience.

Unlock Business Time Calculations and Powerful String Manipulation with New Operators!

You asked, and we listened! A major highlight of this release is the introduction of the highly anticipated BUSINESS_DAYS and BUSINESS_HOURS operators. These functions finally allow you to accurately measure time elapsed between two dates specifically during your defined working hours and days, providing a crucial capability for calculating true cycle times, lead times, and other metrics that respect your team's actual work schedule.

But that's not all! We've also added operators that bring powerful string and array manipulation capabilities to your custom formulas:

  • ARRAY_RANGE (or myarray[start_index..end_index]): Easily select a specific range of elements from any array. Useful for focusing on, for example, the last two assignees or the first three labels.
  • REGEX_EXTRACT: Extract substrings from a text field based on a POSIX regular expression. Perfect for pulling out specific IDs, version numbers, or other patterns from strings.
  • REGEX_REPLACE: Perform sophisticated find-and-replace operations using regular expressions. Great for reformatting text fields or cleaning up data based on patterns.

AI Assistant Gets Smarter with Custom Field Awareness

Our AI Assistant continues its journey to become your most powerful reporting tool! In this new version, we've made significant strides:

  • Custom Field Integration: The AI Assistant is now aware of company-app-specific custom fields from Jira and GitHub! When you ask the AI to build an insight, it understands your custom attributes, allowing for more relevant and precise reporting tailored to your specific setup.
  • Improved Reliability: We've squashed a few bugs preventing the AI-generated widgets from being saved occasionally, making the whole experience more stable.
  • Enhanced KPI Understanding: Thanks to a related bugfix, the AI now has a slightly improved understanding of KPIs with trend/sparkline visualizations.

These updates make the AI Assistant a more reliable and powerful partner in exploring your data and generating insights based on the specifics of your engineering workflow.

Other improvements and bug fixes

  • Improvement: Widget Edition: Cancelling widget edits now correctly redirects back to the dashboard and scrolls to the widget's position, preventing loss of scroll state.
  • Bugfix: KPIs with trend/sparkline: Prevented the removal of the dimension in the trend/sparkline configuration, as it's essential for visualizing evolution.
  • Bugfix: Formula Custom Fields: The list of custom fields in the formula help assistant (F1) now correctly updates when switching between teams.
